He has served on the Board of Governors for the Tennessee Association for Justice (formerly Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association) since 2009 and has served on the Association’s Ethics Committee. He has authored articles that have appeared in Tennessee Trial Lawyer Magazine and has served on the Executive Board of the American Association for Justice Interstate Trucking Litigation Group and as Co-Chair of the group’s Journal.
Matthew Wright’s vision is for the time to come when his role as a trial attorney representing people injured by dangerous trucking companies is no longer needed. As a truck injury lawyer, he hopes he and other trial attorneys will force unsafe trucking companies out of business and that only safe and compliant companies will remain, making the roads and highways safer for the driving public. Through courts and by advocating for changes in industry standards like controls on fatigued driving, underride guards, and mandatory use of collision mitigation systems, he hopes to help achieve this vision.
